The trailer for Michael Jackson’s documentary film “This is It,” which captured rehearsal footage of MJ’s supposed-to-be comeback to the stage, made a premiere at the 2009 Video Music Awards.
The preview gave fans what to expect to see on the October 28th premiere of the film that is scheduled to hit theaters for two weeks. On the clips, Jackson said, “This is an adventure, a great adventure. We want to take them places that they’ve never before. We want to show them a time that they’ve never seen before.”
With the trailer, you can see the costumes, his songs, the massive sets, green screen effects, videos and Jackson’s trademark moves.
Kenny Ortega put together the hours and hours of rehearsal footages and squeezed them into a two-and-a-half documentary.
Contrary to reports that Michael Jackson’s health was deteriorating weeks before he died on June 25, Michael was seen on the trailer dancing through his iconic songs “Man in the Mirror” and “Smooth Criminal.”
