Nine months after the death of their 16-year-old son Jett, Kelly Preston and John Travolta, along with their daughter Ella Bleu, made their first public appearance together on Friday to promote their new Disney film called “Old Dogs.”
Walt Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook made a surprise announcement before the fans at the D23 Expo in Anaheim California that John Travolta and his family were there for a surprise appearance. Travolta led the way holding his daughter Ella’s hand. The family then helped Cook introduce the film since all three will appear in the family-oriented film, which also marks Ella’s big screen debut.
John Travolta told the crowd, “I always appreciate the audience’s love for me. I hope they love Old Dogs and much as we do, because I’ve got my baby in it.”
Although Kelly Preston has returned to work several weeks ago to star in Miley Cyrus’ “The Last Song,” John kept out of the public eye, coping with his grief flying to different locations by himself.
Old Dogs, which also costars Robin Williams, is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 25.
