It’s confirmed: talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is the new “American Idol” judge.

The famous reality singing competition lost a big star in the form of Paula Abdul, and it took them quite some big effort to replace her with someone as competent and as popular as her-and I think they got someone way bigger.

Ellen, who’s outspoken and quirky persona captivated audiences of all ages, hopes to represent the people in the next season of “American Idol.” She herself has done her share of discovering new artists by featuring different talents on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Besides, Ellen has also monitored AI by discussing the show’s latest updates in front of her viewers.

Ellen announced her new job in her talk show, but that doesn’t mean she’ll be taking a break from hosting “Ellen,” and instead she’ll be working double time.

Former AI judge Paula Abdul meanwhile also had something to say about Ellen taking her seat as the show’s new judge. On her Twitter account, the pop star said:

“I think Ellen will b a gr8 judge on Idol. She is wildly funny, talented and I wish her the best of luck!”
