Emile Hirsh stars in “Taking Woodstock,” which has made $3.7 million this weekend. Now according to the actor, he can take some of the credit why the highly successful ‘Twilight’ film had its Bella Swan.
In an interview promoting ‘Woodstock,’ Emile Hirsh talked to OkMagazine.com and the 24-year-old actor revealed that after he worked with Kristen Stewart on the 2007 film “Into the Wild,” he recommended her to Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, who eventually cast Stewart on the film.
Hirsh told Ok, “I was gushing about [Kristen]. I think she’s so talented and so perfect. She’s a great conversationalist, very inquisitive. She’s got a little bit of an edge, too, though, so she’s not a pushover. She’s strong and cool. She’s beautiful, she’s smart, and she’s emotional, too.”
As for his film where Hirsh called for nudity, Emile said his role of an oft-naked hippie in “Woodstock” was a little more than he bargained for. He says, “The technology almost came back to bite me because I would repeatedly see people with their iPhones out. There would be a crowd of 200 people, and I’d be like ‘oh my God, are they taking photos of me naked? This is wacked.”
