Adam Lambert and Kris Allen went head to head on the last season of American Idol. Who has more fans? Well, the answer may just come a bit early.
The top 2 Idol winners will likely be competing against each other again in late 2009, but this time, on the charts. Apparently, both singers are scheduled to release their debut albums on the same day.
Lambert’s record company had already announced that November 17 will be the date of his debut album release. The company hasn’t set a date for American Idol’s actual winner – Kris Allen. However, MTV reports that Allen’s album will probably come out the same day, since Amazon.com has provided pre-orders for the Kris Allen album, which reportedly will come on November 17th.
Allen recently told Entertainment Weekly that the album “will definitely have that pop rock thing.” It will also feature performances by Fray guitarist Joe King and hip-hop producer Salaam Remi.
