Lindsay Lohan made a scene in a Manhattan deli after an employee wouldn’t give back her Blackberry. As a result, Lohan called the cops on the man who was trying to do his job as a good employee.
The actress swore at Mohammad Hashan and asked a friend to call 911, when the counterman asked for proof that the phone she had left behind the store indeed belonged to Lohan.
Hashan told the Daily News, “Who is she? Is she a star? I’m no celebrity. I’m not nothing. I’m only a restaurant worker. I was just trying to be honest. Now I have police and trouble already.”
His problem with the cops occurred after Lohan stopped into the Mott Corner Deli in Little Italy to get a cup of ice. She then left her phone on the counter. When Hashan found the Blackberry on the counter, he rushed to Lohan’s cab and banged on the window to ask if the phone belonged to her. After Lohan said yes, Hashan demanded proof, since there were other clients in the store at the time. Hashan wanted to ensure he was returning the phone to its rightful owner.
According to Hashan, Lohan tried to grab the phone, but missed. She asked a friend to call her number, but the BlackBerry didn’t ring. As an SOP, Hashan asked Lindsay to come back inside the store and watch the surveillance video with him, but Lohan began screaming. “She said, ‘I’m calling the police! I’m going to arrest you for not giving me my phone!” Hashan said.
After the cops showed up, Hashan handed them the phone. They opened it, saw a picture of LiLo and returned it to her.
