Brad Pitt is doing promotions for his new film “Inglourious Basterds” and for him, this Quentin Tarantino movie finishes all Nazi movies, including the Tom Cruise German flick “Valkyrie.”
Brad explained on an interview with the German magazine ‘Stern’ saying, “The second World War could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe that Quentin [Tarantino, director] put a cover on that pot. With Basterds, everything than can be said to this genre has been said. The film destroys every symbol. The work is done, end of story.”
When compared about Tom Cruise’s film about the plot to kill Hitler, Brad Pitt said there’s no comparison. “It was a ridiculous movie,” he added.
However, he did reveal what kind of movie he likes, calling “Saturday Night Fever” life-changing. Brad said of the film, “When I was a teenager, I saw Saturday Night Fever at our drive-in, but it wasn’t the dancing that electrified me. It was the life and culture in Brooklyn. I’m from Missouri, the southern part of the Midwest in the U.S., and I never heard families talk that way to each other. From that point on, I wanted out to see more of the country and of life.”
Are you loving Brad for being outspoken? Do you think it was a joke or not?
