Kate Gosselin appeared on the ‘Today Show’ Monday and was interviewed about several personal issues, including Jon’s new romance, the alleged affair with the family bodyguard, her brother who criticized her parenting skills and the reason why she still wears her wedding ring.

The mom of 8 said she still wears her wedding ring to make the divorce easier for her kids. Tearing up, Kate Gosselin said, “Sorry, I don’t want to upset them (the kids.) I don’t want to shock them.”

Kate admitted she was upset about Jon dating the 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, who is the daughter of Kate’s ‘tummy tuck’ doctor. She, however, revealed how she felt about Jon’s revealing of his relationship before the divorce. Kate said, “I was shocked. It’s very hurtful. To be very honest the most hurtful part is when his decisions directly affect the children.”

As for the alleged affair Kate and her bodyguard Steve Heild had, Kate said, “There is no affair. There never has been an affair. We are very good friends with him, his wife and family.”

As for Kate’s brother Kevin Krieder and his wife Jodi who believed the Gosselin kids are being exploited and even stated it publicly on the CBS ‘Early Show, Kate opened up saying, “That’s probably one of the most hurtful thing in all of this when family turns on you and makes up lies,” Kate said. “This has become a business for them where they travel and speak on live TV shows with their allegations. This is a brother who I was very, very close to who became jealous.”
