Attorneys handling Michael Jackson’s estate has asked a judge to give monetary allowance for the singer’s three children because of an “urgent need” to ensure that the needs and ‘wants’ of the kids are met.
According to the request filed in LA Superior court Thursday, the document states “The minor children were completely and wholly financial dependent upon their father, Michael Jackson” and currently have “no financial resources to provide for their care and support.”
Included in the request is MJ’s mom Katherine Jackson, who is temporarily assigned as the guardian of Prince Michael I, Paris and Prince Michael II, (a.k.a “Blanket”) until the custody hearing. Court documents say that Katherine was also financially dependent upon her son and “has no independent means of support,” aside from the money she gets from Social Security benefits.
All issues regarding Michael Jackson’s estate and permanent custody of the kids were put off until August 3.
