Kristen Stewart, the leading lady of the Twilight Saga, filmed a public service announcement designed to raise awareness about sexual assault.

Kristen’s PSA was already shown throughout April 2009 for the ‘Sexual Assault Awareness Month,’ but this video will be shown again throughout September for the “National Campus Safety Awareness month.”

Since 2005, universities around the U.S. recognize September as the National Campus Safety Awareness Month and has been saving the month for this event. September is the best time to educate incoming students about assault. As Stewart mentions on the video, female college students are four times more likely to be assaulted than the general population. It is important that schools help students keep safe both inside and outside the campus.
