Los Angeles, Calif.-Ryan Seacrest is reported to be negotiating for a big raise for his duties as host of “American Idol.”
The pioneer host of the hit reality singing contest is dealing with an extension of contract with 19 Entertainment, the company that produces the said show for FOX Network.
Seacrest apparently earned no more than $5 million for his hosting work on the show’s last season, but the new contract, which is still under the works, might just make him today’s highest paid TV host.
Aside from this, Seacrest mat also create a new series with Simon Fuller, the creator of “American Idol.”
Reps for Seacreast, Fremantle Media, FOX and 19 Entertainment, would make no comment about the spreading news.
