Los Angeles, Calif.-The LA Coroner’s office has issued subpoenas for the medical records that were issued to take care of Michael Jackson’s health.
The coroner officials are still trying to reconstruct the medical history of the late pop icon after his death on June 25, while waiting for the toxicology results to be released, as the latter is still due after several weeks.
According to a reliable source, Jackson’s medical records, including radiology and psychiatric records have been subpoenaed.
The Los Angeles Times previously reported that three medical experts are involved in the investigation in order to properly determine what caused the star’s sudden death. One of the drugs found in Jackson’s home, Diprivan, is an anesthetic which may not appear in the toxicology results.
Anesthesiologist Paul Wischmeyer however the Times that the said drug can still be detected through alternate tests, although these tests are usually not the kind coroners could do.
Jackson’s dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, spoke in “Larry King Live” recently, and told the host that he had given the late pop star the painkiller Demerol, but gave a word of caution about Diprivan.
“I told him he was absolutely insane,” says Klein, after learning that Jackson was taking the drug during his Germany tour. “If you took all the pills I had given him in the last year at once, it wouldn’t do anything to you.”
