Los Angeles, Calif.-Paris Katherine Jackson, Michael Jackson’s only daughter, moved the overwhelming crowd who attended her father’s memorial with a short, but heartbreaking speech.
Paris, 11, provided the last words from the Jackson family in a brief public address saying how much she loved her father, who passed away due to cardiac arrest last June 25.
Aunt Janet Jackson assisted her to the microphone and lowered it so the bereaved daughter would be able to make her first public address.
“I just wanted to say,” Paris began, trying to swallow her tears.
“Speak up, sweetheart, speak up,” Janet was trying to be supportive by patting the girl’s back and shoulder.
“Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine,” she spoke, choking. “I just want to say I love him so much.”
She then burst into tears and turned to her aunt for a tight embrace.
The King of Pop’s two other children, Prince Michael, 12, and Blanket, 7, as well as Paris, were led off the stage together with the rest of the family to exit the Staples Center and headed to the burial, which is speculated to be at the Forrest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, where the private memorial was held.
