Los Angeles, Calif.-Tickets to see Michael Jackson have always been difficult to get-especially in the late pop icon’s memorial service.
If his concert tickets sold like golden pancakes back when he was still alive, passes to Michael Jackson’s memorial service to be held at the Staples Center are selling for as much as $3,000 each, but the authenticity of the bids cannot be verified. Some tickets meanwhile range from $100 to $300.
Prices for the tickets also peak at thousands in other sites such as Craigslist. Some fans who won the passes at the AEG online raffle are unable to attend, thus they opted to sell their tickets but “to only true fans.”
The King of Pop’s memorial service will be held tomorrow at the above-mentioned venue. Around 1.6 million people registered for the chance to grab tickets, but only 8,750 names were picked at random-with the lucky names about to get a pair of passes.
Ticket winners have to present a unique code and then they’ll get a wristband. They are allowed to give away the second band to anybody of their choice.
