Michael Bay, director of the robot-action hit “Tranformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” says that the film’s leading lady, Megan Fox, “has a lot of growing to do.”
According to the director, Fox has the tendency to say some “very ridiculous things.” The 23-year old actress, who made her breakthrough into the Hollywood scene through the first of the “Transformers” franchise, is quite known for her outlandish comments and utterly straightforward interviews-at the extent of being misconstrued.
Among her most recent comments what that Bay focuses more on the movie’s special effects rather than the cast’s acting skills. Bay meanwhile has something to say:
“Well, that’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and thing: ‘OK Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.’”
In response to her comments, Bay says: “I 100 percent disagree with her. Nick Cage wasn’t a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in Armageddon. Shia LaBeouf wasn’t a big movie star before he did Transformers-and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from Bad Boys.”
Finally, he points something about the pretty, Angelina Jolie-sque star. “Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers. I like to think that I’ve had some luck in building actors’ careers with my films.”
