Atlanta, GA.-Tameka Raymond, Usher’s wife, says she was rather surprised when she received divorce papers coming from her husband’s lawyers.

According to the former stylist, she and her husband were even intimate and in a happy state together a few days before he decided to end the marriage.

She also disputes the R&B singer’s claims that they have been living separately since July 2008. According to the court documents she filed on Monday in Fulton County Superior Court, Tameka says that she “had every reason to believe her marriage was intact,” and that she and Usher were “intimately together as husband and wife as recently as June 6.”

The R&B singer, whose real name is Usher Raymond IV recently filed for divorce from his wife on June 12, stating that their marriage is “irretrievably broken.”
