Los Angeles, Calif.-Rachel Hunter, Rod Stewart’s ex-wife who was recently engaged to Canadian hockey player Jarret Stoll, will not be having her wedding as scheduled.

Stoll, the 27-year old hockey star, suddenly called the wedding off, according to a report from Britain’s “The Daily Mail.” The couple was supposed to tie the knot in the next seven weeks when he cancelled the engagement.

A rep for the 39-year old model confirmed the news of the breakup, stating:

“Can Associates Limited regret to inform you that the August wedding of Rachel Hunter and Jarret Stoll has been cancelled and the couple have decided to split. We ask you to respect Rachel and her family’s privacy during this extremely upsetting time.”

The Stoll-Hunter nuptial was reportedly going to be a grand ceremony to be attended by a few of Hollywood’s most respected celebs such as Sharon Stone and Michelle Pfeiffer.

It is also reported that Hunter has been getting support from ex-husband Rod Stewart, who has been there for her since the breakup.

Stewart and Hunter were married in 1990, and after separating in 1999, the couple finally divorced in 2006.
