Los Angeles, Calif.-Despite the number of attempts to delay the trial, the scheduled hearing for Chris Brown’s assault case will push through as planned.
The R&B singer’s attorney, Mark Geragos, had filed an appeal to delay the hearing at the California Supreme Court, but the request was denied by the court.
The trial is set on June 22.
Brown’s counsel earlier made the first bid to delay the hearing but it was denied last week. The appeal for delay was rejected by two justices from California’s Second District Court of Appeal.
Brown allegedly assaulted his then girlfriend Rihanna a few hours before she was to go to the Grammy Awards on February 8. The R&B singer plead not guilty of the charges of felony assault and making criminal threats which were filed on April 7 at the Los Angeles Superior Court.
