Atlanta, Ga.-R&B star Usher has filed for a divorce from wife Tameka Foster, according to a report from the Associated Press.

The singer, famous for his sexy ballads mixed with rap adlibs, filed the petition in Atlanta Superior Court on Friday.

Usher’s petition to be single once again finally confirmed the rumors of split that has bugged the couple for several weeks now. The two married back in August 2007, and have two children, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond. Usher is also the stepfather of Tameka’s three other children from a previous marriage.

Back in February, Usher backed out from a committed performance at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Awards party just to get to his wife while she suffered a heart attack before undergoing plastic surgery in Brazil. Tameka was declared to have fully recovered after staying in the hospital for several days.
