Los Angeles, Calif.-Hit teen series “Hannah Montana” is about to say goodbye.
The hit TV series which made Miley Cyrus into a superstar is expected to finish its fourth season run next year, says the tween queen’s dad, Billy Ray.
During an interview with Billy Bush, Billy Ray revealed that the show’s cast, which had just finished the whole season 3 run, will move on for one more season, at the request of his daughter.
“Quite frankly, I give a lot of credit to Miley for taking it to another year,” he said. “She didn’t want it to just end with whatever was the last episode we did. She wanted it to build to where there’s a moral to the story, to where it doesn’t just end and go away and that’s it. She wanted there to be an official ending to ‘Hannah Montana.'”
The proud dad and co-star also said that they will proceed to shoot the last 11 thirty-minute episodes and a 1 hour long finale for season 4, which are all expected to be aired in 2010.
“we’ll start Season 4 sometime around the end of January,” Billy Ray said. “We have to be done by the first week of June in the summer of next year.”
But Billy Ray is open for change.
“Anything is possible in Hollywood,” he said with a laugh.
