Los Angeles, Calif.-”Twilight” villain Cam Gigandet is signed to play another bloody vampire role, this time in a more protagonist approach.

Gigandet will star in the film adaptation of the popular TokyoPop comic book, “Priest.” He will play the role of a half-vampire sheriff who’s out to save the girl he loves. Together with a warrior priest (played by Paul Bettany) Gigandet will seek for his girl amidst a war between humans and vampires.

Aside from “Priest,” Gigandet will be working with Amanda Bynes and Emma Stone in “Easy A,” a lighter, funnier adaptation of the Nathaniel Hawthorne classic, “The Scarlet Letter.”

If you think that’s all, Gigandet is also busy filming the horror flick “The Roommate” this time with Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly.

Gigandet, together with Robert Pattinson, won the MTV Movie Award “Best Fight” for their vampire-to-vampire battle in “Twilight.”
