The much awaited trailer of “New Moon” was finally released last May 31st at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, and while it has served the cravings of “Twilight” fans, there’s one good question to ask: Was the trailer worth all the intense anticipation?
The second leg of the “Twilight Saga” evolves around Bella’s life this time without Edward, although there are a lot of scenes where they are together. It’s also the time where the werewolves are introduced properly in the story, headed by Jacob (Taylor Lautner). The trailer promotes a budding love triangle between Edward, Bella and Jacob, thus sparking another romantic height for the vampire flick.
But in terms of the other equally relevant subplots and characters in the movie, I think the makers of the trailer omitted these parts in order to package “New Moon” as a love story in each and every sense. While the vampire tendencies were shown, as well as Jacob’s werewolf metamorphosis, I didn’t feel that the whole trailer was able to touch on every important aspect of the whole story. And since the trailer gave me a bit of a question, I’ll sure be watching the movie on November.
