Los Angeles, Calif.- The MTV Movie Awards held last Sunday sparked a huge controversy after Sacha Baron Cohen (who was there as his alter-ego, Bruno) landed his butt right on rapper Eminem’s face before announcing the winner for Best Male Performance, Zac Efron.
Indeed it was able to make jaws fall and shock some of the audience present, knowing that Eminem’s one big homophobic, one writer says everything’s planned all along.
“Yes, the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged,” blogs Scott Aukerman, a writer for the MTV Movie Awards. “That’s all anyone wants to talk about, so let’s get it out of the way.”
Bruno, dressed as an archangel (with feathered wings), was supposed to land on the stage while “flying” on a harness to present the award for Best Male Performance, but he missed and landed on Eminem’s face.
“They rehearsed it at dress,” Scott continued. “And yes, it went as far as it did on the live show then.”
Eminem walked out of the theater after their encounter, and was no longer seen by the audiences until the show ended.
