London, UK- The cameras may have focused their attention on singing sensation Susan Boyle, but the votes said otherwise.
It was a British dance troupe that bagged this year’s title of “Britain’s Got Talent,” not to mention £100,000 and the chance to perform in front of the British Royal Family.
Diversity, the group of young men from Essex, England, showcased their fine talent in dancing which unknowingly convinced Britain to vote in favor of them.
The verdict was issued live on British TV, which stunned everyone, including judges Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell.
“The best people won,” says the 48-year-old Scottish singer. “They’re very entertaining, and lads- I wish you all the best.”
“What a journey,” she was all cheers. “Unbelievable, very humbling.”
Susan Boyle may not have been crowned champ of this year’s reality talent show, but she already is a star thanks to YouTube uploads of her performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” early last April. Her worldwide fame paired with yet an unassuming attitude earned her even more fans, including “American Idol” Kelly Clarkson, Oprah Winfrey and Demi Moore.
