Los Angeles, Calif.- Britney Spears is once again going to court, but this time to face charges filed against her by a former TMZ photographer over an incident wherein his foot was run over.

The photographer, Ricardo Mendoza, submitted a civil lawsuit against the pop princess in Los Angles on Friday. He claims that Spears operated her car and deliberately committed assault and battery against him when she ran over his foot back in October 2007 in Beverly Hills.

Various media watchers were able to cover the footage of the incident, including Mendoza’s former employer, celebrity gossip site TMZ.

The said incident took place when Spears had just lost custody of her sons. She is now enjoying the visitation rights granted by the Court.
