Lost Angeles, Calif.- Jackson Rathbone is about to take on another dark, cold and cruel role in his upcoming project-but this time as a black metal rocker.
Rathbone, who is best known as Jasper Hale in the vampire flick “Twilight” is set to appear in the dark biopic “Lords of Chaos” as Varg Vikernes, former frontman of the black metal group Burzum. The film revolves around the lives of the infamous rock group and the black metal music subculture of Norway, which reached immense popularity during the early 1990s.
Vikernes, the character set for Rathbone, is currently behind bars for the murder of fellow artist Oystein Aarseth, guitarist of another influential Norwegian band, “Mayhem”.
The former Burzum frontman is not providing any support for the film.
“Lords of Chaos” will begin shooting scenes this September, according to Rolling Stone magazine.
