Milwaukee, Wisconsin- “American Idol” finalist Danny Gokey is thinking of improving his terpsichorean moves-thru “Dancing With the Stars.”

Gokey, who finished third in the reality singing competition, says he’d like to take a shot at “Dancing With the Stars,” partly because he was criticized with his dance moves, particularly by the “Idol” judges.

The 29-year old former music director came back to his hometown for a free concert on Tuesday night. He took advantage of the event to thank his roots for all their support for him while he was at the contest; he also aims to raise awareness and funds for his charity organization- Sophia’s Heart Foundation.

The “Idol” runner-up says his top priorities include the foundation and his album, in which he’s already in the midst of writing songs. He’s also open to a reality TV stint in order to give the foundation more media exposure.

The foundation is named after his late wife, Sophia, who passed away eight months before his “Idol” audition due to a congenital heart disease.
