New York City- Kris Allen may have won this season’s “American Idol” crown, but it was Adam Lambert who gained the vote of the rock and roll gods: Queen wants him in.
“Amongst all that furor, there wasn’t really a quiet moment to talk,” says Brian May, guitarist of the legendary rock band Queen, who performed with Adam in the “Idol” finale. “But (drummer Roger Taylor) and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point.”
The Queen guitarist may have declined discussing about Adam’s possibility to be the band’s frontman, but May definitely wants to work with him once more.
“It’s not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t that easy,” May continued in his email to Rolling Stone magazine. “But I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.”
But it’s not just Adam whom Brian May is proud of.
“Both those boys are well worthy of big success,” he said, referring also to Kris Allen.
