Redmond O’Neal gets a new court hearing for the preliminary trial on charges of drug possession-and it’s going to be on July 9.

Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal’s son went to court on Friday wearing a royal jumpsuit. Redmond was in a cool and jolly mood, and even acknowledged photographers as they took pictures of him while in the courtroom.

Redmond has been transferred recently to the Pitchess Detention Center from the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles. He will start his lockdown drug treatment due to two different charges of drug possession, one last January 2008, followed by another on September 2008. He was previously released to attend a drug diversion program for the two charges.
