This season’s ‘American Idol’ Kris Allen is ready to face the challenges of fame.
“Things are definitely going to change, but we’re really strong and she’s really cool, so we don’t have any questions that everything’s going to be fine,” says Allen when asked about him and his wife in a teleconference.
Allen is planning to play the kind of music which “moves people,” such as “Ain’t No Sunshine.” And nope, he’s not going country, despite the groundbreaking performance he did in the show’s finale together with Keith Urban.
He also paid tribute to contender Adam Lambert, who ran second. Allen refers to him as “one of the most gifted performers” he’s ever met.
In a separate teleconference, Adam Lambert said he was happy on how the contest ended.
“I’m just thrilled that I get to move forward and have a career in the [record] industry,” he says. “That’s why I auditioned for the show and that’s really what kept pushing me forward. That’s why I feel I won. I don’t feel the title of first or second place matters at this point.
Lambert plans to focus on working music and probably venture into the movies eventually. But he’s not turning his back on the field where he first started-theater.
“I can see myself coming there eventually. That’s my family… I will in no way ever forget my roots, so to speak.” He said.
