It was a reunion of the most powerful musical talents from all genres last night at the ‘American Idol’ Season 8 finale.

The two-hour season finale was packed with all sorts of music and magic, and yes, it didn’t fail to surpass all the previous ‘Idol’ endings during the past seasons.

The Top 12 finalists were able to sing with some of today’s music legends, such as Allison Iraheta, who ended in fourth place, shared the stage with Cyndi Lauper in “Time After Time,” and third placer Danny Gokey, who sang a medley of Lionel Richie’s hits with the singer himself.

Other musical celebs include David Cook, who was last season’s winner, Queen Latifah, The Black Eyed Peas, Santana, Jason Mraz, Rod Stewart and Steve Martin.

‘Idol’ winner Kris Allen rocked the house with country singer Keith Urban, while second placer Adam Lambert made history with KISS.

Kris and Adam then teamed up with Queen and sang one of the band’s greatest hits, “We Are the Champions.”
