If you’ve come to love American Idol with a fourth judge, you’d be bothered to hear that Kara DioGuardi may not be coming back next season. Apparently, DioGuardi has only signed on for judging duties for one season.
Kara told TV Guide mag, “I’m only here for one season. That’s what we’ve discussed. So we’ll see what happens.”
However, whether the Idol producers decided to keep her or not, Kara feels blessed to be part of the show and remains hopeful that the show will keep her in the next seasons. She said, “My life has become extremely exciting and I am so excited for this opportunity. I feel grateful to America that they let me grow and they let me find my groove on the show and that they were patient. And hopefully I haven’t disappointed them. It’s been a scary experience at times.”
Simon Cowell admitted that he isn’t sure if Kara would be back for another season, saying, “The only say I have is about Ryan, Randy and Paula. I’ve always made it clear that I wouldn’t like to do the show without them. So that’s all I’m really concerned about.”
