It’s a time for divorces and separations. Just weeks after Mel Gibson announced his divorce from his wife of more than 25 years, here’s Sean Penn wanting to get away from married life. On Friday, Sean Penn filed for legal separation from his wife Robin Wright Penn after 13 years of marriage.

However, this isn’t the first time the couple has broken up and made up. Back in 2007, Penn filed for divorce and Wright Penn filed her own divorce papers three days later. However, the couple requested that authorities dismiss their petitions last year.

During the Oscars last February, the couple attended the event together, but was rumored to be having marital problems when Penn took home an award for “Milk” and didn’t thank his wife during his speech. When he visited Oprah after the award season, Penn explained that he only wanted to dedicate his speech to his professional team.
