There’s plenty of New Moon updates this week - cast member sightings, hookup rumors, film castings, new pictures, interviews and a whole lot more. Here’s a quick summary of New Moon -related news that graced the headlines this week:
Kristen Stewart was seen playfully spending some time with her boyfriend Michael Angarano around Vancouver. The two, who completely ignored the paparazzi following the New Moon star around, looked to be in very good mood laughing as they walked through town and Kristen even jumping on Michael’s back for a piggy back-ride at one point.
Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson has been busy flying out to LA and going back to Vancouver the same week. He was also included in People Magazine’s List of “100 Most Beautiful People” and Robert said he still doesn’t understand his heartthrob status, saying, “I don’t get it. It’s funny, you look the same for years and no one ever mentions it. Then suddenly it’s a big deal.”
Robert also has new interviews from Fandango.com and Moviefone.com. Pattinson revealed how excited he is to portray a darker, creepier side of Edward Cullen and is looking forward to work with Taylor. Robert had nothing but praises for the 17-year-old Lautner, saying “There was a video of him on set the other day doing all these kind of fight stunts. That kid is incredible; he is one of the most stunning athletes I’ve ever seen in my life. I don’t know, I think it’ll be interesting. I haven’t seen any of his stuff yet, but everyone’s going a little bit crazy over him.”
Speaking of Taylor Lautner, he’s been causing headlines this week after being seen out with Disney star Selena Gomez in two occasions. However, despite looking playful and sweet, the two are reportedly just friends. You gotta pity Selena, who probably being cursed by millions of Taylor/Jacob Black fans all over the world, out of this rumor.
Michael Sheen is a twitter. On his Twitter page, some fans had a chance to ask Sheen about some New Moon updates. Michael, who plays the Volturi co-leader Aro, said he will be filming in both Vancouver and Italy. He also revealed that the only New Moon cast member he has met in the past was Robert (at the Oscars). Sheen also admitted that he’s currently reading the books right now and is excited about filming in Italy. Michael said he’ll “feel old around the young actors, but may scare them with his red eyes.”
As for New Moon, plenty of people showed up in Montepulciano, Italy for the casting of film extras for New Moon.
