Hanson joins James Iha (formerly) of Smashing Pumpkins, Adam Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne and Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick. But a new band comes touring, promoting and being away with Taylor’s family. Taylor has four kids with his wife Natalie – Ezra (6), River (2), Penelope (3), and Viggo Moriah, who was born in December last year.
The 26-year-old Hanson tells Billy the Kidd from Z100 how he juggles his big family and his career. Taylor joked, “You just leave them with enough food and water to survive,” but revealed, “No, first of all, you have an amazing wife, and she gets it and handles all the craziness. And you just try to make the time you got really cool. When you’re there, you’re totally present, and you just bounce back and forth.”
Apparently, Taylor has to get used to being away from his hometown in Oaklahoma because Tinted Windows has a busy schedule. After appearing on the Late Show with David Letterman Tuesday, the band will also guest on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday and open for No Doubt on May 3.
