“About 80 percent,” is what actor Shia LaBeouf said when asked about the recovery of his left hand. “I’ll be able to make a fist, but there’s a knuckle I’ll never be able to move again.”
The Transformers star reveals that he may not be able to regain full strength of his left hand after the car accident he met last July. According to an interview with Entertainment Weekly, LaBeouf had to undergo surgery to repair his injured hand, including replacing a crushed finger that has not yet fully recovered.
LaBeouf, after spending days at the hospital for surgery and immediate recovery, had to go back to the set of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Getting back to work was difficult, as the actor had trouble doing simple tasks such as brushing his teeth and buttoning his pants-much more jumping off a three-story building.
LaBeouf nearly had another injury last October while on set, when a sharp prop hit his eyelid. If not for the stitches, the actor could have fallen into blindness.
