Robert De Niro is at war with his nanny. Alexis Barry has sued the actor for more than $40,000 in unpaid overtime, claiming that De Niro fired her after she threatened to quit.
According to papers filed in New York Supreme Court, Barry claimed she never got the 10 vacation days she was promised and ultimately worked more than 750 hours beyond the call of duty without compensation.
De Niro, who has an 11-year-old son Elliot with Grace Hightower, has not yet responded to the claims. De Niro’s rep said he couldn’t comment because he hadn’t seen a copy of the suit.
