Twilight mania remains alive as hundreds of fans gathered outside a Hot Topic store in Hollywood for the midnight DVD release. Of course, a mystery appearance from one of the Twilight cast helped add to the frenzy and more than 400 fans sporting Twilight shirts lined the corridors of the Hollywood & Highland shopping center just to get a glimpse of the “mystery Twilight star.”
Ashley Greene was the mystery guest, who was hidden in a secret room of the mall as she hurriedly signed a huge stack of two-disc special edition Twilight DVDs. Like Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, Greene still isn’t used to the madness the Twilight film has brought to her career and her life. She said that the huge pop culture sensation “makes me a little nervous. I feel completely blessed, especially for someone like me, to be thrown into something like this. It’s every actor’s dream, I think, to be part of something that’s going to be remembered in history as part of this huge phenomenon.”
The Hot Topic Twilight at Midnight event was one of many official – and unofficial launch parties across the country. In another venue, Ashley Greene joined Rachelle Lefevre and Kellan Lutz outside Kitson to help promote a limited edition collection of luxe t-shirts, thermals, tunic tops and hoodies featuring graphics from the film ‘Twilight’ on Robertson, Beverly Hills.
Meanwhile, the other crew of Twilight sent out a video to thank the fans, while they remained in Vancouver for the filming of New Moon. If you haven’t checked it out yet, feel the love of the Twilight cast below…
