A warrant of arrest was issued last week for Lindsay Lohan over claims that she has violated the terms of her parole from the DUI and drug offenses back in 2007. Earlier today, a judge recalled the warrant and Lohan is free to party on.
Lohan’s lawyer presented evidence today to show that the 22-year-old has been following court orders and completing her rehabilitation program. Shawn Chapman Holley told the court that this misunderstanding may have stemmed from Lohan switching to another treatment program, saying that the warrant was “much ado about nothing.”
L.A. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel told Lohan’s lawyer that the actress has to provide better documentation to avoid future court problems. The judge also noted that Lindsay hasn’t failed any drug or alcohol tests, since starting the program in August 2007 after being charged two counts of being under the influence of cocaine, drunk driving and reckless driving. After pleading guilty, Lohan spent 84 minutes in jail, performed community service and has been undergoing rehab.
Sorry for dozens of paparazzi waiting outside court, Lindsay Lohan did not make an appearance.
