Michael Jackson just announced his comeback a couple of days ago and yet the 50-venue UK concerts have been sold out  already. It took only five hours after the tickets went on sale Friday for 90% of the tickets to be sold.

The 50-year-old Jackson was originally scheduled to perform 10 concerts for “This is It” tour at London’s O2 Arena, but because of the overwhelming response, the tour got extended to 40 more concerts. Apparently, 11 tickets are sold per second since the tickets became available.

It looks like everything is planned down to the smallest detail. According to Randy Phillips, who is responsible for promoting the tour, “Michael’s already pretty much put together a list of the dancers he wants. Michael’s very engaged now.”

The 50th show is scheduled on February 24, 2010.

Michael Jackson hasn’t recorded an album since 2001, after releasing “Invincible,” but with 750 million records sold, 13 Grammys and a record-breaking ticket sales, it seems like Michael remains the King of Pop.
