Paula Abdul voiced out that she isn’t too happy about the addition of fourth American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi this season.
Abdul says, “It’s nothing personal, just business. Kara and I have known each other for years and we get along great.”
Paula is featured on the March 9 issue of OK! magazine and reveals that the Idol has tried the concept of four judges before and it didn’t work. She is referring to Angie Martinez, the Hot 97 DJ who joined “American Idol” as a judge before the second season, but bailed before the season kicked off.
Abdul explained that the fourth person disrupts the flow of the show, saying “It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show.”
Apparently, Paula Abdul says it’s the last season on her contract on Idol and “have so many other things” she wants to do. So if she’s not saying that Kara DioGuardi should be kicked off the show, maybe Abdul is hinting that she’ll be leaving after season 8.
