Justin Timberlake has been named the “Most stylish man in America” by GQ. The popular men’s magazine praised the 28-year-old Timberlake for his “impact on fashion, willingness to take risks and ‘knack for targeting trends’ which include trendy hats, three-piece suits, skinny ties and beards.” (GQ Pictures INSIDE!)

The Grammy-winning singer has ranked #1 as GQ Magazine’s list of “10 Most Stylish Men in America,” but he credits his stepdad for his dress sense. Justin revealed in the March issue of GQ that his stepdad Paul Harless was his inspiration for his sense of style, saying that “his stepdad laid out his suit for the next morning every night and went to work looking “like Richard Gere in (American) Gigolo.”

However, Justin Timberlake does have some trends of his own – just as the signature style of wearing a suit with sneakers. But Timberlake revealed it was more a matter of practicality than design, saying “I just put sneakers on because I couldn’t dance in the shoes I had. I couldn’t leap with just insoles and dress shoes. I would’ve hurt myself.”

The timing of this recognition is perfect for Justin, because the clothing line William Rast, which Timberlake and friend Trace Ayala launched back in 2006, is at the New York Fashion show.

Other honorees on the list include Mark Ronson, Alex Lubomirski, Kanye West, T.I., Jason Schwartzman and Andre Balazs.
