The vampire romance Twilight made Kristen Stewart the IT girl, but before she became the love of Edward Cullen’s life , the actress has been seriously acting since age 11 and has done quite a few notable films, such as Panic Room. One movie, where Kristen Stewart recently stars in is Adventureland, a coming of age film alongside Jesse Eisenberg.

Kristen Stewart grew up in Hollywood, being the daughter of a script supervisor and stage manager. Because of this, Stewart is more familiar with the roller coaster ride her new found fame compared to her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson.

At the Sundance, Stewart told Reuters, “I grew up on a set. I don’t take it as seriously, and then at the same time I take it more seriously than anyone. It’s like a balance.”

“Adventureland” is a film about a recent college graduate named James, played by “The Squid and the Whale” star Jesse Eisenberg, who takes a summer job at an amusement park. There, he falls in love with a tortured but sincere young carnival worker named Em Lewin (Stewart) and finds that true love is an adventure in and of itself.

According to its director, Greg Mottola, who was also the brains behind the 2007 comedy flick Superbad, he talked to Kristen Stewart about handling fame. He said, “I think there are some people who have some innate movie star gene that lets them just walk into that, like a George Clooney, but it didn’t happen to him when he was that young. So I feel for her, that’s a really hard thing.”

Despite the media attention Stewart has been having recently, she has 16 movies on her portfolio, including “The Cake Eaters,” “Into the Wild” and “What Just Happened” before she turned 18 years old.In 2009, Kristen Stewart will be busy working on the Joan Jett biopic and reprising her role as Bella in “New Moon.” Because of her schedule, Kristen has said she has no plans to attend college yet.

Adventureland has found a distributor in Miramax Films, which will release the movie in March.
