Although this season of American Idol lacks talent, the ones who’ve made it last season are off to a good start in their careers. Just look at the two Davids – David Archuleta and David Cook, who both announced separate tour dates to begin next month.
The 26-year-old David Cook will premiere his first solo tour, entitled “The Declaration Tour 2009″ on Feb 13 at Tallahassee, which will continue across the country through April 25.
On his website, Cook explained how he feels performing and why he chose a college campus tour. Cook said: “There’s something inherently nostalgic about playing college shows. So many amazing acts used to do it, so it’s nice to be able to bring that ideal back in some small way.”
The American Idol season 7 runner-up David Archuleta will start his solo tour on Feb. 24 in Virginia Beach. The 18-year-old singer’s 20-city tour will end on March 21 in Idaho.
