Although Twilight started as a low-budget film with a cult following, it became pop culture when fans all over the world can’t get enough of the mysterious vampire Edward Cullen and his love for a mortal (played by Kristen Stewart). While Twilight continues to rake big bucks at the box office, reports are swirling that drama can’t be avoided behind the scenes for the sequel New Moon, which is set to start filming in March.
According to reports, both Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will have bigger roles in the sequel, even though Jacob Black was supposed to become the leading man in Stephanie Meyer’s best-selling book, ‘New Moon’. With new director Chris Weitz replacing Twilight director Catherine Harwicke and reports that other characters in the Twilight movie will be replaced, tension will definitely rise once shooting for New Moon begins.
Of course, Robert Pattinson will be in the sequel - a lot. This is an obvious choice as fans of the Twilight series just can’t get enough of the 22-year-old actor. According to an insider, “They want to find a way to give Robert a bigger role than the book calls for without making major changes to the story line. They’re going to have their hands full.”
What do you think? Do you prefer the story of New Moon to stay exactly the same as the book? Or would you prefer to see more of Robert Pattinson playing Edward Cullen?
