#5 - John Mayer
Mayer is talented, but his constant press whoring and dating Hollywood women has made himself on the list of the most hated celebrities. For someone who hates the media, which he talks about on his own blog, he is always looking for a way to give himself some exposure.
#4 - Tom Cruise
You try to give him a chance after several mistakes like jumping like an ape on Oprah’s couch, calling out Brooke Shields and insulting Matt Lauer. Top it all off with Cruise pushing Scientology on America and he’s got himself to the top 5 of the list.It wouldn’t be surprising to know that Tom Cruise’s daughter Suri is more searched online than he is.
#3 - Madonna
Though Madonna is going through a messy divorce, she still doesn’t get pity from people. Rumored as a home wrecker, Madonna still tries to capture youth by hiring young male dancers as backup.
#2 - Speidi (Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag)
MTV’s ‘The Hills’ couple is known for their drama on and of screen. Whoring themselves to the press and eloping for a fake marriage. Everything they do seemed planned out for the paparazzis to shoot - even shopping for Christmas trees seemed fake for these two.

Although she became popular after President-hopeful John McCain used Paris in one of his ad campaigns to insult President-elect Obama’s sudden fame, Paris Hilton is still considered talentless by many. And in a struggling economy, knowing that someone stole $2 million worth of jewelry in Paris’ mansion and buying a customized Bentley just a few days after the robbery just gives people more reason to hate her this year.
