With the brain behind Saturday Night Live and the comedy hit TV show 30 Rock, it’s no surprise that Tina Fey was the one chosen to be been named The Associated Press’ 2008 Entertainer of the Year.
The actress-writer-producer has been a huge influence on the entertainment industry throughout the years, while adding a slice of political awareness into her gigs when she went back to Saturday Night Live to play Sarah Palin during the Presidential Election. This isn’t the first time Fey has accepted an award for her work – her sitcom 30 Rock has won three Emmy awards since it started to air.
When accepting the award, Tina Fey told the press, “The ‘SNL’ stuff has certainly changed things for me. A lot more people seem to know who I am.”
