LA Police estimate that about $2 million worth of jewelry was stolen at Paris Hilton’s bedroom after ransacking the Mulholland Estates mansion.

LAPD detectives believe that this burglary is the highest-dollar home break-in this year. You’d assume that in a gated community with security guards, the home of Paris Hilton would be totally secured, but these hoodie-wearing suspects knew exactly what they wanted to steal even if (according to police) they were amateurs.

The burglary was believed to occur sometime between late Thursday night and 4 a.m. Friday, the hours when Paris Hilton was out partying. This wasn’t the first time the heiress has been a victim of burglary; in 2004, she lost several thousand dollars worth of jewelry, valuables and money in a home she shared with her sister Nicky.

Police are not disregarding the possibility that the burglar is someone familiar with the estate.
