Twilight Mania Lives On… Earns $237M to date

The Vampire romance hit Twilight continues to hit it big at the box office, grossing over $237 million worldwide since it was released in the U.S. on November 21. Although a low-budgeted film of only $37 million, Summit Entertainment is set to spend $50 million on the indie flick’s sequel, “New Moon”.
Despite fans reacting negatively to the replacement of Twilight’s director and other details to be changed for the movie adaptation of ‘New Moon’, the movie is still adding fans around the world. In fact, as early as December 2008, many people are still excited to see the 2009 film. New Moon will start shooting in March 2009 with a back-to-back shoot for the third installment “Eclipse,” which is scheduled for release on 2010.

Robert Pattinson Defends Heath Ledger’s Honor

While attending a live comedy show, the “No on H8 show” at The Improv in Hollywood a few weeks back, Robert Pattinson reportedly took offense to a rude comic’s joke on Heath Ledger.
According to reports, the 22-year-old Twilight megastar booed a comedian who said, “Here’s my impression of Heath Ledger,” before falling to the ground while faking convulsions. Other people from the show said, “Robert and his friend went nuts yelling at him. “[Pattinson screamed] f–k you! You suck!”
As though prone to boos and shouts, the comic failed to recognize that he was being booed by the world’s most famous young star right now.
Pattinson seems like a bad boy with his latest Vampire role and grunge look, but deep down, he’s just a guy who knows how to stand up for what’s right. I guess this just gives Twilight fans another reason to love Rob…

Wondering what Britney Spears’ New Year’s resolution is?
The pop princess revealed that she aims to stop biting her fingernails. She plans on breaking her awful habit, saying, “Next year I have to learn to stop biting my nails! I would love to stop worrying so much, because I dwell on things the whole time. I want to learn how to be happier in general and to not take things so seriously.”

Jennifer Aniston Wants To Be A Working Mum

Jennifer Aniston has always kept her opinions about having babies in the future…and yet in another interview, Aniston says she hopes of having the opportunity to experience being a full-time mother someday. She told Hello! Magazine, “I have a girlfriend who was very successful in her career, and three kids later she had to stop working because something had to give. Now she’s at home looking after those babies while her husband’s out working, and yes it’s difficult, and she sometimes thinks she’s losing her mind, but it’s what I want to do.”
However, Aniston is just enjoying what she has right now and says she avoids disappointment by not making goals. She added, “I don’t make goals. You do that, and then you get bummed out if it doesn’t happen.”
Aniston’s lucky she can afford to get pregnant even if she’s over 40, given that she’s one of the most highest paid actresses in Hollywood. But don’t you think she has to hurry up?

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s Predicted Divorce

It’s funny how rumors are made these days.
A tabloid “predicted” that Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez will be announcing their divorce live and on stage at Marc Antony’s concert on February 14 at the Madison Square Garden.
The Daily News reported that a “so-called friend” told the tabloid that, “”Jennifer is planning on joining Marc onstage for a surprise duet. Things haven’t been right for a while now, and they thought it would be a bittersweet farewell.”
JLO’s spokesperson Leslie Sloane-Zelnick responded to the rumors saying, “I have no clue where they got this,” while Anthony’s rep Blanca LaSalle assured, “Any comments implying that they are having problems … are absolutely false.”
The couple renewed their wedding vows three months earlier in Vegas, after only four years of marriage.

Robert Pattinson may be the hottest vampire yet and he may have given his co-star Kristen Stewart a hot, passionate-looking kiss on-screen, but Pattinson revealed he wasn’t at all confident when he kissed Stewart for the first time.
The Twilight star revealed to Seventeen magazine, “It’s terrifying…Especially when you kiss and you’ve got to do it at a weird angle or something. But I’m skirting the answer because I’m a really bad kisser. That’s why I don’t want to go into details!”
Just like his sudden global fame, the 22-year-old Pattinson said he had a relatively girl-free past, explaining, “(I hadn’t) kissed anyone for awhile before the movie, so I’d kind of forgotten how!”
Is he just acting humble or can it be that the most popular guy on the planet is really just a shy guy?

Heather Graham, In-Love in Italy

Heather Graham was spotted in Naples, Italy last night at the 13th Annual Capri Hollywood Film Festival Dinner. Looking gorgeous in her printed dress, the star seemed not to care about anyone in the room including the ever-present paparazzi, except for her boyfriend Yaniv Raz. Throughout the night, the “Boogie Nights” star laughed, flirted and laughed again with her director beau Raz.
Graham seemed to enjoy her vacation as she will be having a busy 2009 with several films lined up, including “Boogie Woogie” with Gillian Anderson and Alan Cumming, “Son of Mourning with Joseph Cross and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (and directed by her boyfriend Raz) as well as “The Hangover” with Bradley Cooper

Celebs in Australia – Adrian Grenier Rocks Out, While Paris Hilton Chills Out

Paris Hilton and BFF Brittany Flickinger were in Melbourne this morning preparing for a New Year’s Eve bash. Paris’ sister Nicky along with her longtime boyfriend David Katzenberg joined Paris and Brittany as they checked out the shopping scene at the Wayne Cooper store.
Before Paris had time to relax, she met with a few fans upon landing the airport. According to the Herald-Sun, “Paris signed autographs and Playboy magazines for the throng of fans who had turned out for her arrival. The posse quickly left the airport and headed into a black Lexus bound for South Yarra’s Como hotel.”
Meanwhile, Adrian Grenier was in Australia for a different reason – he hit the stage of the Beach Road Hotel in Bondi Sydney with his band ‘The Honey Brothers’. Showing off a Gibson ES 335 axe, the “Entourage” star may just be planning an Australian tour with his band.

Pamela Anderson is Growing Up

Pamela Anderson seems like the party girl everyone knows, but she is still a mom of two, so there will always be a time for her sons. Just like yesterday when Pam Anderson took her son Dylan with his friends to the beach for some surfing. The former “Baywatch” babe looked like a typical mom, as she took a spot on the sand and watched over them from the distance.
Another contrary to popular belief, Pamela Anderson is into something productive. She has been reportedly handing out copies of “One Can Make a Difference” to everyone she knows, including President-Elect Barack Obama and current President George W Bush. She explained, “It’s a collection of 50 inspirational essays - not boring ‘strive to be better’ sayings, but real-life stories that are truly amazing. Some of the essays had me crying… It has essays by a woman who started the first breast milk bank in India, a girl born without feet who now runs marathons, a man who saved kids in a South American village by starting a shoe drive for them. I’m sending a copy of the book to the Obamas and, what the hell, to Mr. Bush, too, since he’ll need ways to pass the time, because it is exactly the theme for our next White House: one can make a difference!”
