Ashlee Simpson and husband Pete Wentz welcomed a son Thursday night. Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed 7 pounds and 11 ounces, and was 20 ½ inches long.
A spokesperson from People magazine reported, “Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”
The 24-year-old singer Ashlee and the 29-year-old Fall Out Boy bassist Pete announced Simpson’s pregnancy in May, several weeks after their Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding. At that time, Simpson admitted to People that she wanted to have a big family one day with Wentz adding, “A big soccer team or a band!”
As for fatherhood tips, Pete Wentz has been seeking advice from rocker pal, Joel Madden who has a 9-month-old girl with Nicole Richie. On December 16, Wentz will also be welcoming another one of his babies into the world – his band’s third album, “Foli A Deux”.
